Our Partners in Fighting Hunger, One Move at a Time
Move For Hunger is a national non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need.
GAA is a proud partner of Move For Hunger. At the 2026 GAA Annual Meeting, attendees packed snack kits to help feed neighbors in need, and we are excited to continue working with the Move For Hunger team in future events and programs. How It Works
Multi-Family communities, logistics companies, movers, and individuals can partner with Move For Hunger through various programs. For communities, when a resident gives notice that they are moving out, you can provide them with a Move For Hunger program letter and food collection bag.
The resident is then encouraged to place unopened, non-perishable food items that they wish to donate into the collection bag. Once your community has collected 5 bags, Move For Hunger will arrange for a logistics partner to pick up the donations and take them to your local food bank. Move For Hunger's network of relocation companies provides customers, clients, and residents the opportunity to donate their food when they move. Members of Move For Hunger also volunteer to host/assist with community food drives, participate in cause marketing campaigns, and create employee giving programs.
